II. Documents needed for Application
1. Foreigners who meet these requirements can apply directly to International Exchange Center of Xiangtan University. For information concerning the application, procedures and other study items please contact us by mail or fax.
2. The following documents are necessary for application:
(1) Xiangtan University Application Form for International students (original and with a photo attached);
(2) Physical Examination Record (original results of X-ray, ECG and blood test must be taken to China if accepted);
(3) Photocopies of Diplomas or Certificates of Grade Records;
(4) Financial Guarantees;
(5) Recommendation Letters by two associated professors for Applicants wishing to study for Master's and Doctoral degree;
(6) Certificate of HSK Chinese language proficient test (just for those who are interested in receiving academic degree at Xiangtan University);
(7) Photos (6 pieces needed, taken recently, non-cap, passport photo size).
3. After receiving the materials for application, the university will give a definite reply as soon as possible to the applicants. The successful candidates will receive the Admission Notice of Xiangtan University and the Visa Application for Study in China (Form JW202) for entry visa authorized by the Chinese government.
4. With Admission Notice of Xiangtan University, Visa Application for Study in China (JW202), Physical Examination Record, the applicant accepted by Xiangtan University can go to the Embassy of the People's Republic of China or the general consular section nearby to handle the procedural concerns.
